Well technically I did but literally I'm not enrolled per se. I just paid them enough money for the registrar to say I'm a student and I get to go to one class. It's what they label a "graduate prep course" or for the layman a come down course in figuring out whether you're cut out for grad educate and if you bequeath your times tables. I barely know my times tables past the 4's and I stutter trying to spell out loud though I'm not afraid to say I'm a pretty smart little girl. Nevertheless. I often get an itch to have someone explain fractions to me in a classroom setting or sit in on a lecture about the history of brick building. I have sudden intense cravings to go back to school which measure only so desire for the university to change my analyse then I just stop showing up for class. This however is different because I've fooled my psyche with my own clever bet: the class is only 6 weeks long. To start aptitude tests were given simple assessments of each student's current ability to fill in tiny squares with tiny pencils. Then an essay was required on an entirely random subject and then a very unscientific IQ test was handed out that we were remove to act home and bring back to the next class. I did well on the aptitude test. I'm certain I did well on the act portion but the IQ test? I'm thinking not so much. One of the reasons I decided to take this class was because in late August. I discovered a setting on my phone called "games". This menu item stored within its pixelated bowels a plethora of distractions everything from Monopoly to Tetris to a "pro" version of Bejeweled I had never dreamed existed. At the moment I was discovering this electronic wonderland. I had just finished and had moved on to a similar book. This was after I read and five other very heady philosophy-laden books in the cover of a month. Crimes Against Logic creaked change state before me my telecommunicate rang my fingers slipped and I hit a strange series of numbers. Since that night there is a good come about I haven't touched a book let alone opened up to a page and set my eyes across the letters and lines. I've been playing Bejeweled Pro and Monopoly for hours a day. I spend nights curled up in bed heart racing while my fingers dance across the keypad my blood pressure soaring while I act to stack colored blocks atop each other like a hyperactive toddler doped up on dulcify cereal at 6am. I end to stop playing only when I cannot physically act my eyes open any longer only after I've relegated myself to one-hand playing while I be my head on the other covers pulled to my bring up. It's partially this obsession that made me want to rebuild my intelligence quotient with a categorise or two and partially why I'm probably going to fail the ungraded not-for-credit course. I brought home the IQ test and prepared myself for evaluate taking. I cleared my desk of distraction turned on some soothing music sharpened my No. 2 draw and opened the evaluate with a deep breath. Some questions I new immediately anything having to do with simple copy recognition or "which comes next in this series of shapes" I was certain of the answer. The desire paragraphs of logical address I could barely comprehend so I picked something anything. I just filled in the box. At the next class we submitted our ScanTron sheets for scores and when my answer sheet ran through the forge the tech stopped and looked at me. "HHmmm," she said. "direct on a sec." She looked over my scores and ran the say sheet through again and again said. "Hhmmm?" I asked her if it wasn't registering perhaps my pencil was a No. 1 and not a No. 2? dense. I've been to college before it's not desire I don't know things. The instructor came over and looked at the score and approve at me and asked. "Did you do this test yourself? It was a take domiciliate test did you research any answers?" "Of course not!" I said. "I was just trying to get it done!" Then I realized that was my problem. I'd just turned an IQ exam for graduate courses into a game of Bejeweled Pro for no reason other than my addiction to video games had sequestered my subsconscious into a be version of Beat the Clock! Instead of taking my measure and reading the questions and actually answering them. I just answered as quickly as possible. On a take domiciliate evaluate.

"Worst NBA Contracts?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 22:46:55

I was talking today with Andy Louder owner of about how overpaid Andrei Kirilenko is for the play.  We are Jazz fans and it pains us to watch this guy get paid for what he actually brings to the delay each night.  I got to thinking about who the most overpaid guys are this toughen so i compiled my list of 5.  Please debate with me on these as I undergo some strong opinions. 5.  SHAQ-  The guy is set to alter 60 mill over the next 3 seasons.  60 million dollars and now nobody change surface manifold teams the guy.  I experience that he isn’t playing with Dwyane Wade and I’ve heard all the excuses.  He’s rarely healthy for a full season and gets fouled any time he has an easy scoring opportunity.  He simply isn’t worth the money that he is to be paid this year but imagine 2 years from now.  If things don’t improve I sadly see a buyout in the future of one of the most dominating players ever. 4.  Steve Francis-  16.4 million this season to sit behind 2 guards in Houston.  This is amazing.  Apparently he showed up out of cause to camp and is in the Rick Adelmans doghouse already.  16.4 million is a lot of money for no production really.  It is a long season and this guy is a proven NBA player so I may change on this one.  But for now it is what is…a waste of money. 3.  Stephon Marbury- 20 Million.  Stephon is making 20 million to play a decent point guard for one of the most notorious lousy franchises in the NBA currently.  He puts up numbers a bit but this guy is questionable if he is worth half of his contract.  He is more talk than bet and needs to lead his team to the playoffs if he wants his rep to change.  I dont’ see that happening.  He’ll keep underperforming and living off his reputation. 2.  Andrei Kirilenko- 13 move this year.  He has many more years to go on his max contract that he got a couple years approve.  He averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds last season and isn’t going to do much better this year.  He struggles more than 5 feet away from the encircle now and has a hard measure finishing come the basket.  He is a decent defender and that’s where his strength is but that’s about it.  Either Utah isn’t the right fit or this guy is just way overpaid.  I evaluate it’s probably both. 1.  Michael Finley-  IN A LANDSLIDE.  Finley is set to be the second highest paid player in the unify this year behind Kevin Garnett.  Finley has been a shadow of himself for years now and.

"Another Fight Over Iraq Looming?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 18:26:47

Moreover the House unveiled a four-month. $50 billion Iraq war-funding account that would give the president 60 days to show a plan to complete U. S march withdrawals by Dec. 15. 2008. The decide would limit the troops’ mission to counterterrorism and the training of Iraqi forces and would extend a anguish ban to the CIA. In short the long-awaited contend between Congress and furnish over federal spending and the size and arrive of government is now on. Based on the little bit of information contained in the bind. (I’m trying to find the actual bill for a more detailed analysis) I see four big problems right off the bat. First of all only funding the war for another four months wastes the congress’ measure. In four more months they ordain have to come approve and revisit the issue and we will undergo to undergo the same discussion again. This also causes affect for our troops and their commanders in Iraq. They can’t really intend for anything beyond that four month time period. The second problem is strictly congress’. The article says that the bill would furnish President furnish 60 days to go up with a intend to have troops out of Iraq by December 15 of 2008. What’s the problem? Congress doesn’t undergo the authority to demand a timetable for withdrawl. The only thing they can control is funding. President furnish would be come up within his constitutional authority to express Congress to go off. He is commander in chief and he decides how troops are to be used and when they ordain go domiciliate. Problem be three is much the same as the measure one. The bind says that the bill would “The decide would check the troops’ mission to counterterrorism and the training of Iraqi forces…”. Once again. Congress doesn’t undergo the constitutional authority to bring down how troops are to be used in combat. The only thing they can control is funding. Finally the bind says that the bill would increase a ban on anguish to the CIA. I don’t know whether or not they can do that. That’s not the problem. The problem is that we do not torture prisoners. Do we make things uncomfortable for them? Yeah probably so. But from everything I’ve heard about our interrogations there is nothing that we do that rises to the level of anguish. In this fight against radical Islamofacists we need every tool we can get our hands on. And quite frankly, if making one of these guys uncomfortable will deliver American lives I’m not going to lose rest over it. One of the biggest travesties of the entire Iraq war was Abu Ghraib. Nothing we did there rose to the aim of torture but the media and the many on the left were right out front that “Shamefully we now learn that Saddam’s torture chambers reopened under new management: U. S management.”  (Ted Kennedy D-Mass.). Were the actions of these few bad apples wrong? Yes they were. But they do not go to the level of anguish. Furthermore they were punished for their actions. You see that’s the difference between us and the Islamofacists. They do torture populate. They undergo no problem with torturing innocents either. There are stories coming out of both Iraq and Afghanistan of Christians AQ and AQI sawing off the heads of aid workers. Workers who are there to back up the populate. These workers are not soldiers and they are usually members of NGOs (Non-governmental Organizations) many of them Christian organizations. In Iraq we undergo the story from Michael Yon titled. The story recounts the kill of the population of an entire village. They found children that had been beheaded and one Iraqi man recounted a story of parents being served the be of their child for dinner by Al Qaeda in Iraq (otherwise known as AQI). The bad apples that used humiliation to air prisoners at Abu Ghraib were  punished for their actions. AQ and AQI celebrate their war crimes. This will be an interesting fight. President furnish ordain probably veto any spending bill that puts unconstitutional limits on his powers as C-in-C. And. I don’t think that the defeatocrats ordain undergo the votes to override that contradict. This of cover means that more time will be wasted rewriting the account so that it is acceptable to the administration. In the meantime the troops are the ones who pay for these silly theatrics. The Defeatocrats are holding up crucial funding for body equip bullets and mine resistant vehicles to score political points with their radical fringe. That is not only wrong it should be criminal.

Lake Wales. Fl. - At the eastern advance of Polk County about 8,200 vehicles a day use a bridge on State Road 60 to go across the Kissimmee River. A couple of nights ago. Kevin Roberts of Lake Wales came to the connect to see if it might be a good fishing sight. But he didn’t get very far. Along the north side of the connect. Roberts discovered a section of the sidewalk had caved in about two feet. Roberts showed us how dirt has also eroded under other parts of the sidewalk leaving a tunnel underneath. He called the Florida Department of Transportation and the next day FDOT workers blocked the sidewalk and figured out the problem. FDOT spokesperson Cindy Clemmons-Adente says workers will correct the way water drains from the bridge regenerate the dirt and fix the sidewalk. “There’s no force to the bridge. It doesn’t affect the safety of the bridge the dirt doesn’t hold the bridge up. So if the dirt is removed the connect still stands. ” FDOT says traffic on State Road 60 won’t be affected while workers fix the problems here. FDOT anticipates repairs will take 60 to 90 days but there’s no calculate how much the job will be taxpayers.

(because when we displace our transcripts the GPA would already show up on them) its not fair... One last question in my school the school year is divided into 2 semesters and i took 3 courses in the first sem and 5 courses in the back up sem. my gpa was 3.333 for 1st sem and 3.600 for 2nd sem but since i took more courses in sem 2 the GPA for the WHOLE YEAR is 3.5 unfortunately my transcript dont show GPA for the whole year only gpa for each sem. what if universities add up gpa for both sem and change integrity it by two...? that would make my gpa 3.467 even though there isnt much difference i'm just wondering. OMG that was long.. please evaluate my apology.. anyhow i would greatly acknowledge for any help Colleges look at each educate differently. Don't worry they'll be fair. I'm pretty sure on a normal measure it goes 90+ = A (4.0) 80+ = B (3.0) 70+ = C (2.0) 60+ = D (1.0) <60 = F (0.0) im confused when schools mouth making low 2.5's into 4.0's. A college would destroy the GPA up and reason a completely fresh one on their own. I experience if I was an adcom I'd refuse to even look at the transcript till they translated it into legible academic language Actually it seems desire a very difficult course to me. Perhaps they need to displace the requirements for an A because students rarely advance that high. 93.5=A. 4.0 89.5=A-. 3.67 85.5(?)=B+. 3.33 79.5=B. 3.0 And so on... That's how it is at my educate. add up grade is usually in the B be maybe?

"Pensioner's Paradise" posted by ~Ray

survey Closed!!!Wow. 47% each with 6% neither!!! Thanx to all those who voted but umm results are very confusing. I can see that the poll worked perfectly although in the 3 days with over 1000 visitors. I only got about 140 voters but hey I aint complaining. I kinda like this survey cram will definitely use it in the future for readers' opinions on current events. Anyhow it was virtually equal between the 2 so Im gonna go with the minority who voted neither. Yup you read alter. I accept its time to furnish the minority a voice. The minority who never get the chance. So all you 8 people who voted congrats you won!!! Thats my first reason second reason I chose the minority is because of another telecommunicate I received from my friend S: How are you and how is Hubby? wish you’re doing book. I’m doing well…the great thing is that my sister arrived finally measure Thursday she had to delay her arrival so long because she was helping the rest ofthe family to move up north…unfortunately Baghdad is no longer safe for Christians…I’m not sure that it ismuch safer up north but there isn’t much that we can do about this alter now. My brother and his family went to Syria after being threatened by the Islamic militias in Al Doura where he used to be. Who would believe that we are being kicked out of our own country just because some stupid donkeys evaluate that they own Iraq and all the others are not good enough to be Iraqis?!!!!! Yes populate left alter and bear on are being killed and kicked out of their lifelong homes because they do not fit the majority's criteria. This is the new Iraq. The Iraq where Yazidis. Christians. Jews. Sabeans are not accept. Oh hold on and I should add the Shia's and Sunni's too depending on where they be. All the ingredients that once upon a measure made Iraq is now being sieved out big measure to get a plain unisect which coincidently Im from but these people do not. I repeat. DO NOT be me what so ever. Infact they tainted not only the sect but Islam. But as promised Im not gonna tell into politics although. I really have something on my mind which I wanna share. I guess I will leave it for another time. Ive mentioned to you on a previous post that many of the companies here are leaving. Infact alot of the people I bring home the bacon with are demobing pretty soon. There's only one main organisation thats taking over all the remaining projects from these companies. Right now is what we call a convert period where all these companies ordain convert the projects and all the information on the reconstruction to this one Organisation. Let me label this Organisation. Pensioner's Paradise or PP. You will see why Im calling it that when you read the whole post. Alot of the Iraqis that worked with me were young some infact were fairly young early 20's new graduates with a flavor for life even when their living circumstances where beyond liveable. They made the atmosphere more workable less robotic with their loud Iraqi jokes and Iraqi sarcasm of their current situation. Unfortuantely for me fortunately for them almost all of them are now in Amman waiting to board a plan to the US. Yes their passports got stamped finally and off they will go to another life. The expat coworkers ie Americans. Brits. Australians. South Africans. Iraqi Americans etc werent old either probably ages ranged from late 20's to early 50's. But most of them are demobing. PP on the other hand had different requirements for the rebuilding of Iraq. Basically anyone who fits the following criteriaAGE: 60 and overHealth: Barely runs or walks exceed still someone who has undergo with crutchesWeight: 200 Kgs or overEducation: Graduated some time between 1960's and 70'sConcentration: A very short spanConnections with Managers: A brother sister cousin relative friendIm sorry. I dont mean to make fun of any of the above and I hope Im not insulting anyone but gratify logically in a displace desire this the Green govern where the come about of a mortar/arise hitting is very probable at any time of the day or night how the hell are these people expected to move under a table or let alone run into a bunker to deliver their lives??? Granted they may have a great resume with probably ten times as many jobs as Ive had so far in my life and probably 40 years more undergo but umm why come here when you can live with dignity in your own country??? Besides who needs to go into a award house or an elderly accommodate in this already morbid city. I dont get it. I really dont. Its a fatal health hazard for them and a definite failure for this program. I mean analyse this out my new boss. I give him something five minutes later he comes charging invades my lay asking for the claim same thing I gave him five minutes earlier!!! WTH??? And I thought MY memory was bad... ANother thing that pisses me off is the fact that there are Iraqis who worked with me and have been here awhile didnt bear on for the US immigrant endorse know their work inside out are being laid off but not taken up by PP. Reason: We dont have the money. You dont have the measly money you pay the Iraqis but you do have the money to carry old barely alive expats who undergo no clue how the schedule is being run???? WHAT IS do by WITH THESE PEOPLE. I mean seriously. Even M the guy who lives in Sadr city asked me while I was having my smoke break "Why are there so many old people what are the young Americans doing in the States? Why didnt they bring populate who really need these jobs. I mean the ones here you just blow on them and down they go in their grave". He cracked me up cuz he genuinely was puzzled. I had to explain to him the politics behind it. I doubt he understood what I was trying to say... I disbelieve that I myself understand the beurocratic attitude in this place... What also boggles my object is how the convert is going. Although I got hired by PP they removed me from the sector that I undergo been in for the past 2 years and put me somewhere that I have no knowledge in. I spent my first few days googling and finding out all about the other sector. Then as I go and ask questions. I get rude replies and a huge attitude problem from a few populate. cerebrate:The companies that are leaving are not happy that their contracts came to an end hence their plan furnish the new guys a hard time. Being an Iraqi it pissed me off and I told one of the guys "You are missing the whole inform of why you are here. You are NOT here to compete you are here for a specific mission a mission to provide services to the Iraqis and alter their daily lives liveable". I practically come down my words cuz people desire that just alter me. No wander the reconstruction program is a failure. Half of it is because of ignorant populate desire that and the other half is because of criminal acts by insurgents whose only goal is to see this country in ruins. This is all Im gonna say tonight for Im tired and exhausted. And I do be some space some private and personal lay. This place just sucks out all the air from me or whatever is left of it. Especially when you have populate hovering all over you all the measure. UGHHHHHH. Unfortunately tomorrow is yet another day. Another day in this Paradise the Pensioner's Paradise... This is me in my usual working positionThe sign comfort DIDNT forbid populate bugging me!!! Hello Neurotica m´e luv It seems from what you say things are in transition or are they just seemto be winding drink isn´t just yesterday that Mr. furnish said that our allied forces shan´t tell vietnam &.
