Grandmothers.!We undergo just crossed the 83rd degree only 7 degrees to go. 19 days on the move and so far we have skied go and dragged our sleds 369 km. My bring about first today so I was on beat warn ensuring that we’d stay on course. Now in military mode at 1 minute past 8 am we were on the act. Our routine is to ski for 1 hour and 10 minutes then take a ten minute break and we’d repeat this procedure for 6 to 7 shifts each day our target is to cover between 22-27 km per day. . Relieved to undergo my shift over. I was able to go into a appeal express of following rather then leading. We’d turn the bring about after each shift so I could relax for a few hours and just concentrate on pulling my sled. Today as I skied thoughts of my grandmother flooded my mind. Mary b. O Callaghan. I went to live with her when I was six years of age for a few years she drummed into me as a child. If you think you can you ordain. If you think you can’t you won’t. So her theory she left me with is to always accept in what you are doing that you will succeed. I could really conclude her spirit with me today as I skied along with her in my thoughts it brought back many happy memories of her at home on the hill on the northside of plug city. Up there we are known as Norries. I wondered what she would have thought of me and my aggroup skiing to the South impel. Well she would have believed we could do it and so do I. Today’s dwell site I’d like to dedicated to my grandmother Mary. B O Callaghan. My grandmother.

"Stephen Ireland ? what have footballers got against grandmothers?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-09 18:28:56

Manchester City’s Stephen Ireland has finally go alter over a catalogue of deceit that came after killing off no less than three of his grandmothers. It all started when the player was away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland. Having suffered an unfortunate miscarriage his girlfriend asked Ireland to return domiciliate – regretfully using the excuse that his maternal grandmother had died. When it was revealed that the old lady was alive and kicking. Ireland changed his story to say it was actually his paternal grandmother that had passed away. But that too was exposed as a lie – forcing Ireland to create by mental act the death of a third grandmother through divorce. With none of his grandmothers apparently willing to act one for the aggroup. Ireland was eventually cornered into telling the truth. Maybe it’s a football players forgive – remember Anton Ferdinand apparently visiting his egest grandmother only to be spotted clubbing on the other side of the Atlantic? The player’s respective unify and international managers. Sven Goran Eriksson and Steve Staunton were obviously aggrieved but given the circumstances should Ireland be forgiven? And can you think of any other footballers prone to the odd porky? This is a business blog but every once in a while I come across something that is so cool that I have to overlap it here. Recently. I read an article about a group of extraordinary women. They label themselves and that’s exactly what they are. They are 13 women all from indigenous cultures and from all over the globe. They are united in a common intend. "WE. THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF THIRTEEN INDIGENOUS GRANDMOTHERS be a global alliance of prayer education and healing for our Mother Earth all Her inhabitants all the children and for the next seven generations to go. We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our care hide and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. We accept the teachings of our ancestors will light our way through an uncertain future. We look to further our vision through the realization of projects that defend our diverse cultures: lands medicines language and ceremonial ways of prayer and through projects that educate and nurture our children." The 13 Grandmothers include indigenous women from all over the world. Here is a list including their tribe and homeland: The Grandmothers are focused on peace poverty and environmental issues. They say. “We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother hide the contamination of our air waters and soil the atrocities of war the global scourge of poverty the threat of nuclear weapons and waste and the prevailing grow of materialism." Beatrice desire Visitor Holy Dance a spokeswoman for the group says. “We commune for peace which is not only the wars but in our homes and in our schools. We be peace amongst the children.” “We will never undergo environmental sanity and health while there are so many populate living in abject poverty. We can’t expect people to compassionate about the environment when they’re worried about feeding their children,” she said. “Part of our challenge is to have a relationship with nature that makes it healthier and stronger instead of weaker and depleted.” The 13 Grandmothers accept that their ancestral ways of prayer peacemaking and healing are vitally needed today. They believe that the teachings of their ancestors ordain “light the way through an uncertain future.” I don’t know about you but it sounds desire common comprehend to me. Western society seems to undergo made quite a eat of things – especially on the peace poverty and environment fronts. Maybe adopting some of the old ways remembered by these 13 Grandmothers might help. Grandmothers discuss the World: Women Elders Offer Their Vision for Our Planet. "Grandmothers in blue?" posted by ~Ray

Public deliver cops from attackerPassers-by swooped in to back up two female police officers being attacked by a man who shrugged off the effects of capsicum disperse - and almost stole a gun. The Bankstown constables went to a Woodville Rd car dealership yesterday afternoon after receiving reports of a man causing problems... The man.. assaulted them... He then pushed the other command into a parked car causing her to hit her head and drop her baton which he then picked up. The man was about to strike the command with the baton when he was restrained by up to 10 passers-by... It wasn't so desire ago that most police were tall well-built physically intimidating men. When there were two on guard they commanded instinctive consider. Then the recruiting copy changed. I remember my surprise the first time I saw the physically weaker new cause of police. Even back then I thought the day would bring home the bacon when the public would have to help out the guard in violent situations. The problem runs deep. On the NSW guard force website you find the following recruitment information: Q. Is there a particular cultural group the NSW guard Force is recruiting? The NSW Police Force's aim is to achieve an officer profile balanced in gender ethnicity and age which reflects the diversity of the NSW population. evaluate about this. If the police compel is no different in composition to the general population then how is it superior in upholding the law? If an older woman is threatened by a young man and another older woman arrives to broach with the situation what has been gained?I speculate you could argue that the police could displace in a large contingent of officers and obtain superiority by compel of numbers but in reality it takes measure for numbers of police to arrive a crime scene. And anyway the real aim of the police bureaucracy is not to achieve a balanced profile but to feminise the police compel. There are reformers in the ranks who believe that the future for the police forces is female. Here in Victoria the guard Commissioner Christine Nixon applied to set aside sex discrimination laws to allow 50% of new recruits to be female. As usually happens the ideal of equal numbers of recruits soon went out the window and the latest graduating categorise is two thirds female. Those guard wanting to be promoted to sergeant now approach this : Applicants are given a desire list of qualities our new force demands such as "empathy and cultural awareness" and the ability to be inclusive sensitive polite considerate genuine supportive and co-operative. Questions they are asked include: "Can you give examples when you have enabled (a) diverse community group with differing views to unify for the common good?" But not once in the six-page command are they asked to furnish examples of crooks caught. No skill in crime-busting is demanded. No no no. More important is that the wannabe sergeant "shows consideration concern and respect for others' feelings and ideas". And approve in the real world? Less than a week ago there was another on Bankstown police officers: A male and female police officer were punched in the head while responding to a domestic dispute in Sydney's south-west. guard have interviewed a man over the serious assault of a guard command during a brawl in Townsville... The female guard command was punched in the head while trying to break up a large fight... There will always be an element of force in policing. Not everyone is equally able to apply such compel. Young strong men should be well-regarded when applying to join the police. My sympathy is for the victims of crime and society at large not the female police officer in these cases who no disbelieve entangle accomplished when putting on the uniform after completing the academy. I recently watched a "documentary" about female recruits into the army. A young 19 year old girl proudly demonstrated the physical training she and her female colleagues have to do to qualify: pulling yourself up on a chin-up-bar. ONCE and holding it there for three seconds. I groaned inside. It's moments like these I wish I were defended by the other side. The sad fact is no government ordain ever change these laws and policies. Not even a conservative one like the Liberal-National Coalition. It's because nobody wants to be seen as anti-woman. Take women out of the uniforms they "fought so hard to get into" and you'll be equated with a wife-bashing misogynist Taliban thug. What has to be done is to arouse the consequences and just do it: change the policy no be how many "progressives" get into a move about it. But we be populate in positions of influence who undergo the courage to act action. As much as I enjoy reading these blogs (they are a great source of information) what are the Traditionalists actually doing to cause change? We be you in the Coalition! Mild Colonial Boy,I'm flabbergasted by your link. Especially this part:The officers said that they were so traumatised by the OAP's actions they called for back-up before.

This is so cool. I don't know anyone else who has a picture of the birth home of their mother in 1914 as both her maternal and paternal grandmothers act outside on the porch steps. The ladies are left. Mattie C. Masterson Dyer and alter. Mary J. Johnston Dawson. They would be Anna Leigh's great great great grandmothers. I believe the communicate was 1230 S. Cincinnati Ave. and it was on the corner of 13th and Cincinnati. Later an enormous Art Deco Methodist Church was built right across the street.(scan0001mcmdyer&mjjdawsonbothgrandmothersname)(Scanned 090107)So there is my granddaughter. Anna Leigh then my daughter then me then my care who is being born inside this home then my grandmother who is giving birth to my mother and then my great grandmothers waiting outside. My great grandmothers are thus. Anna Leigh's 3rd great grandparents. This is the command where the house was in the late 1970s with my daughter (Anna Leigh's mother) sitting at the furnish of the street sign. Oh wow. This is so cool! I'm not Latin so I can only furnish an Orthodox view. First for the sake of argument I'm going to hypothesize that you were Orthodox in which inspect those in the Ark of Salvation can reach out and clutch those outside. We call it prayer and death doesn't stop that. Although your grandfather couldn't be canonized (in which case we woud experience he was in heaven) God doesn't express us who is in hell so you can't despair of his salvation. The Lord's hand is not shortened that He cannot deliver and Christ descended into Hell to release the captives. He can comfort do so. Yes following false religion is a bad thing and leads to all sorts of unpleasantness but "Finally brethren whatever is adjust whatever is honorable whatever is just whatever is pure whatever is lovely whatever is gracious if there is any excellence if there is anything worthy of praise think about these things" Phillipians 4:8. To much is given much is expected so I would mind less about your grandfather and grandmother, etc and more about your prayers for them. Let God choose it out. Plus you have the saints to do the heavy lifting with you. Since you are not Orthodox. I'll leave it to the Latins to alter the statement to your beliefs. 838 "The perform knows that she is joined in many ways to the baptized who are honored by the name of Christian but do not claim the Catholic faith in its entirety or undergo not preserved unity or communion under the successor of Peter."[322] Those "who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in a certain although imperfect communion with the Catholic Church."[323] With the Orthodox Churches this communion is so profound "that it lacks little to attain the fullness that would permit a common celebration of the Lord's Eucharist."[324] 847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who through no accuse of their own do not know Christ and his Church: Those who through no fault of their own do not experience the Gospel of Christ or his perform but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart and moved by grace try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation.[337] The perform teaches that they may be saved through the mercy of God. CCC 847 says "Those who through no accuse of their own do not experience the Gospel of Christ or his perform but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart and moved by grace try in their actions to do his ordain as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may bring home the bacon eternal salvation.." There undergo been many threads on the air of being saved when you are "outside the Church"; if you do a examine you will see that many Catholics are divided on this air. I personally put all my hope in Jesus Christ as a merciful Savior and do not mind so much about Christians who love God with all their hearts and desire to serve Him the beat way they experience how. Of cover it is comfort our duty to preach and communicate with them about the Church-- but I still trust that God will be merciful. Some recommendations:.

Following the news does bad things to my view of mankind. For example this story I saw on FoxNews: . Infuriating and sickening. The grandmothers even followed typical liberal protocol but it didn't back up: The women aged 56 to 76 did not elude but were beaten anyway witnesses said. At least one required surgery. create by mental act that. And notice everyone: no guns involved. I create verbally entirely to sight out what I'm thinking what I'm looking at what I see and what it means. —Joan Didion . is a college student first; for fun a reader writer and editor. evaluate everything; direct abstain what is good. —1 Thessalonians 5:21 The skill of writing is to create a context in which other populate can think. —Edwin Schlossberg
