"Fresno State Wins Roady's Humanitarian Bowl, 40-28, Over Georgia Tech" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-01 22:49:25

Clifton Smith rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Tom Brandstater threw for a score and ran for another and the Bulldogs defeat Georgia Tech 40-28 in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl on Monday. Fresno State's offense was surprisingly unstoppable against a Yellow Jackets defense that was among the best in the Atlantic glide Conference and led the country in sacks during the regular toughen with 47. But Fresno express's offensive lie kept Brandstater on his his feet and even when Tech got a little heat on the junior he showed the ability to escape the pocket and keep plays alive. After punting on its opening possession the Bulldogs (9-4) scored on six straight drives taking a 34-14 lead midway through the third quarter when Brandstater used an escort from tight end Bear Pascoe for a 24-yard touchdown run. Behind a lineup of mostly young skill-position backups trying to make an impression on incoming coach Paul Johnson who watched the game from the area around the Bronco Stadium press box the Yellow Jackets (7-6) got within 34-28 early in the fourth quarter. Backup play Calvin Booker threw a towering jump ball that D. J. Donley wrestled away from Fresno State defensive backs Moses Harris and Damion Owens. The touchdown was setup by Donley's blocked kick. Brandstater tried to answer leading Bulldogs inside the Tech 10. Wide receiver Marlon Moore who scored on a 6-yard run in the first half was hit by safety Joe Gaston at the 1 fumbled and Darryl Richard recovered. But the Bulldogs defense held and Smith capped his career-best day with a 32-yard sprint with 1:50 remaining. Brandstater finished with 285 yards passing and the Bulldogs had 572 yards the most allowed this season by the color Jackets. It's Fresno State's back up roll win over Georgia Tech beating the Yellow Jackets 30-21 in the 2002 Silicon Valley Football Classic.

"Over 40 Killed In Hyderabad Blasts in India" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 15:28:28

Over 40 populate undergo been killed and dozens more injured in coordinated explosions in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. The blasts took place in heavily populated areas. The first explosion took place in an open air auditorium at the Lumbini Park area overlooking the scenic Hussain Sagar lake and was of high intensity flinging bodies in the air. The second make noise took displace at a chaat shop in the Kothi area of Hyderabad. A red warn has been sounded across the city and searches are being conducted to determine any other potential explosive devices that may be present in the city. All injured have been taken to the Medicity Hospital. The exact number of dead populate is still uncertain. There were blasts at the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad in May this year killing 11 people and followed by guard firing which killed 5 populate. Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister questioned the alertness of the police forces and the state government saying "The duty of intelligence is to be always vigilant and to communicate information to the government. The government and police have failed." India is no stranger unfortunately to terror attacks. In 2006 seven blasts in Mumbai trains killed over 200 people. In recently concluded trials multiple populate were open guilty for blasts in 1993 in Mumbai and most major cities have lived under heightened states of alertness for a desire while since the Khalistani attacks in the 1980s. Security is generally weak at tourist spots however and the Lumbini lay auditorium which is opposite the State Secratariat apparently lacks metal detectors or change surface minimal security features. What kind of communicate did the culprits behind the attack wanted to convey to the world?Killing innocent populate is justified in Islam!!!! ORMajority of untoward incidents happen during congress command !!!! A very very interesting fact:My friend just pointed out that this contend took displace exactly on the 100TH DAY after the May 18 Mecca Masjid Bombings. More symbolism! What has this got to do with the attack? Or is it just coincidence? Islamic Jehad is just one dimension of the whole security dangers our secular country is facing. Communists also are equally violent and terrorists. But they are color sheeps and respectably enjoying cater in central government. Third taack is not physical violence but mental violence being carried out by evangelists and christian missioneries. This JCM (jehadi communists and missioneries) togather presents the right of picture of overall attacks on Indian democracy and secularism. Unfortunately those who try to expose these gangs and contend them openly are being branded as villains in India. Communists undergo killed more Indians then Muslim Jehadis. Missioneries has converted more people then communists undergo killed. Let's open our eyes and mind wide open. These three foreign gangs (Jehadis. Communism and missioneries) undergo different vested interests and influence groups. But one thing is common in all that they want to creat chaos in India to counteract its economic developemnt because if India developes communism ordain die automatically. If India developes missionery shops of exploiting poverty and faith trading for dollors ordain change state automatically. And same thing is with jehadis regressing elements. Let's support those who contend these anti national gangs and unitedly subject thier eveil designs and defuse them. I request populate to carry out research on this issue. How many innocent people has been killed by communists who are black sheeps sitting in media films politics and theatre. I am pretty sure number of innocent man women and children killed by communist terrorists is many times more then Jehadi terrorists just find out and you will get surprised? Rana Pratap Maharaj Ki jai ho. I am angry with every associate of foreign invaders. Commmunists are the most dangerous enemies of India. They are more fanatic then jehadis and killed more innocent people then jehaidis or even British invaders. In arouse of that due to their hold on media they remian white robbed and enjoying power at displace. Jinki joote padne chahiye the ve satta sukh bhog rahe hai and our educated class fail to understand to see these aastine ke saamp. That's why I highlighted communist terror align by side with come up known jehadi terror jehadis are visible mindless enemies of india while communist terrorists are inteligent shrewed and masked entities difficult to appreciate. Among all gangs of foreign ideologies attempting to swallow civilisation originated from soil of India communists are the most brutal most cruel and most cunning aggroup. » On by Mike Ghouse: Sanjay. "NRL Finals: Might of Manly too much" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 16:40:32

NRL Finals Week 3. 2007Manly Sea Eagles 28 def North Queensland Cowboys 6Their consistency wasn't harmed one bit by the weeks rest the Manly forge rolled on tonight - beating the Cowboys and showing no signs of going into their shells regardless of the magnitude of the match they are contesting. With some late withdrawals for the Cowboys prior to impel off with Jason Smith and Carl Webb unable to go away - many thought the Cowboys would change early. In reality it took about 50 minutes the usually flashy Cowboys doing well just to hang on early dodging bullets every 5 minutes as they saved tries and had others saved by the video referee. With plenty of possession and come up built pressure on the Cowboys early on. Manly looked certain to advance several times but amazingly they could only create a 6 point bring about after a tonne of ball and field position. The man of the hour was Michael Monaghan. The man Manly so desperately wanted to off-load only a few years ago was precise and controlled in his actions; making massive metres from dummy half and firing off some dangerous kicks - 1 of which earning a 40/20 result. With the momentum all Manly's way the only concern was their problems when the Cowboys did get a set on their lie. The Cowboys had two attacking sets in Manly territory and both times they scored the first time - the try was disallowed; but with seconds to go in the half the Cowboys crashed over to tie things up with 40 minutes to go. At half time golden point looked a chance - with the Cowboys gaining some confidence and Manly shellshocked at only achieving 6-6 after so much attacking ball. Any thoughts of a continuing arm battle were blown away early with Anthony Watmough charging over the line from a tap penalty. An opportunists try a little bit similar to a Darren Senter special several years ago - sneaking over the line after a quick tap. This play shattered the confidence of the Cowboys for the second time - they had their pants pulled down by a change state range soft try. Once they hit the bring about again the weight of the world was lifted from Manly's backs. The line breaks being achieved by Michael Monaghan were now been followed up by explosive Watmough runs and the kicking game of Matt Orford was stepped up a incise - turning the screws on the Cowboys. While refereee Paul Simpkins had a poor game that probably cause to be perceived the Cowboys with several bad calls most certainly the better team won - Manly clearly the better team as they have been for most of 2007. When Manly compete expansive and uptempo they put on more points.. Whenever they tried to get aggressive and overplay their hand - they invited the Cowboys into the game. Steve Matai again struggled in the centres his aggressive up and in defence opened spaces for the Cowboys - but North Queensland couldn't act favor. The Maroon machine clicked into gear by the 60th minute putting on sublime attacking plays and carving up the Cowboys in all departments. change surface when the Cowboys broke the Manly lie scrambling adjoin defence snuffed out most raids. Manly are very similar to the Storm in that they undergo a squad of talented players all playing their part and smothering the likes of Bowen and Thurston. Even new winger Michael Bani handled his late call up for Chris Hicks with ease; the speedy flanker safe in defence and looked elusive with the ball in his hand. Whenever Thurston ran to the lie or paused to position a impel. Matt Orford was all over him - a one on one steal by Orford on Thurston over the Manly line was typical of the effort by the man they label the Ox. Manly have the complete arsenal to dominate their opponent in the Grand Final from the speed and injection of Brett Stewart to the guidance of Monaghan / Orford to the mobile power of Watmough on the adorn and finally the hit of Kite displace field - it's cater across the park that ordain have the other sides worried. Manly will need to monitor some injury issues this week. Michael Monaghan copping a head strike and feeling the ill effects. Steve Matai injuring his shoulder and ankle but returning to the game late. Niggling problems for Orford and Menzies should be no problem for the Eagles both men continuing on and showing no discomfort during the game. The farewelled Cowboys can hang their heads high their young makeshift forward pack come up beaten but showed experience above their years to direct the advance as low as they did. Marker defence really hurt the Cowboys they let Monaghan and co steal too many easy yards and the attacking platform that followed was desire a rush of the light aggroup as the skillful Manly side backed up everywhere. After the win. Des Hasler and the Manly officials did a good job of keeping a lid on things - getting the team into the sheds quickly and throwing a wet cover over celebrations. The experienced Hasler and his assistants knowing all too come up that a controlled intensity is needed and will try hard not to let his players lose focus. Chris Hicks will be doing everything in his power to be himself for next week but his able replacement Michael Bani has given coach Des Hasler a big selection headache by playing so well tonight. Do Manly change a winning side? Does Hicks be his Grand Final shot on form throughout the year? While Manly don't experience who their opponents are; if it's the Melbourne Storm as expected - the Eagles have the likes of Michael Monaghan and Steve Menzies who I accept are the ideal men for the big bet atmosphere of a grand final. Monaghan is alter under pressure and keeps things rolling along much desire his opposite Cameron Smith and the ageless Steve Menzies has been there many times before and knows whats required. The presence alone of these two men will accept their skillful teammates to do their job without getting swept away in the moment or cracking under pressure. It will be a relaxed Manly align watching tomorrows final Grand Final qualifier between the act and Eels. I'm sure their hoping for a long belting and bruising affair between their two rivals.
